Within Strategic Procurement we are looking for a Global Lead Buyer to further strengthen our organization. In this role you are responsible for a number of commodities for the total international SGB-SMIT Group and you are also responsible for a number of commodities for our local business unit. You report locally to the Strategic Procurement Manager and within the SGB-SMIT Group to the Group Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Global responsibility for strategic procurement of key commodities within the SGB-SMIT Group.
• Develop and drive cross-BU commodity strategies for all factories and business units within the SGB-SMIT Group.
• Strategic/tactical procurement responsibilities within the business unit Large Power Transformers (LPT).
• Actively search for and implement DTC opportunities.

Skills:

• Strong analytic capabilities.
• Ability to set up multidisciplinary teams and create buy-in
• Flexible and willingness to travel
• Understanding of commercial and legal agreements
• Strong negotiation skills
