Purchase Manager (Germany)

40 hours

As a purchasing manager DE you are responsible for maintaining and expanding the customer base in Germany. Acquisition, negotiating and maintaining customer relationships where you often have to go to the customer location are important parts of this role. The focus of the function is on purchasing hard plastics from the German market for our processing locations in the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland. You are available for 40 hours a week.

What will you do as a purchase manager? 

• Developing and maintaining relationships with (potential) customers and relations;
• Negotiating and administrative handling of offered loads of plastic waste together with the backoffice team;
• Making site visits and assessing plastic waste;
• Responsible for making and securing new contracts and agreements, maintaining a correct customer file and securing all relevant data;
• Making proposals for efficiency;
• Translating the commercial policy into practical commercial activities in consultation with the general manager;
• Realizing sales and margin targets in Germany;
• Maintaining a good relationship with the various (internal) stakeholders;
• Signaling trends;
• Representing the company by participating in fairs and networking events.

A purchasing manager at Plastic Recycling Van Werven:

• has a bachelor’s degree;
• masters the German and English language in word and writing; Dutch is a plus;
• has strong administrative skills and works accurately; 
• knows how to convince, is aimed at optimalization within the chain and seeks connections;
• sees opportunities and opens doors;
• has an affinity with the recycling industry.
